Jebrahn is a trauma-informed bodyworker and lifelong native (although not indigenous) of the greater Portland area. As an LMT, she aims to offer easygoing space for people to make their own: to unwind, receive nourishment, turn inward, go deep, soften, release, ground, and un-obstruct the self-healing instrument that the body innately is.
She perceives the body- everything contained within the body, everything that happens to the body, and all actions that can be traced to and from the body as inseparable from its environments and matrices of relationships; the the planet itself.
Her sessions have been described as intuitive, profound, accurate, magic, and fluid. Her work thrives on supporting a vast diversity of individuals: lifestyles, careers, talents, identities, past and present-tense tensions, future dreams, health conditions, trauma histories, responsibilities, transformations, choices.
Jebrahn’s approach to bodywork is rooted in respect for the changing ecstasies, rigors, and agonies of every life. She came to massage therapy in part as humanitarian/wellness rebellion against a highly dysfunctional and disembodying American healthcare/insurance/education system and overculture. She is a graduate of East-West College (massage), The Movement Center (yoga), and Mt. Madonna (yoga), and takes college courses ongoingly for the love of learning.
When not practicing massage, she can be found somewhere in music, books, paint, birdfeeders, gardens, or water.
