Lindsay Chapman has been in the Healing Arts industry since 2005 when she obtained her Yoga Fit certification. Intense sessions of Modern Dance led her to pursue Yoga initially for back pain relief and within 6 months of her first yoga class decided to become an instructor. Traditional college didn’t seem to be the true path for this entrepreneur, so she aligned her career to her values and talents and began teaching full time as a Yoga, Hoopdance, and Preschool dance instructor. She advanced her leadership skills by teaching numerous weekly Yoga for credit classes at a Community College in her hometown of Reno, NV. The thought of helping college students cope with their anxieties felt like a healing balm for the experiences she had at UNR.
Lindsay continued to grow as a dancer, performer, and instructor and started professionally performing with her LED lighted hoops at the Grand Sierra Resort as well as Go-Go dancing. She started teaching HoopDance to the Reno community in 2009 and launched her Business “Hoopstriss” where she sold custom made hoops on consignment and in her classes. Meanwhile, Lindsay had started yearly pilgrimages to the Burning Man arts festival, which serendipitously led her to study Massage Therapy after spraining her ankle on the Playa-Go-Round and meeting a kind man who walked her to the med tent to get crutches and would end up wowing her with his anatomy skills. This pivotal person was a LMT and Lindsay felt that to be a more affective Yoga Instructor she would need to know the body and pathologies in a deeper way so she could help her students navigate modifications in class.
She enrolled at the Ralston School of Massage Therapy and graduated in 2011. After relocating to Portland based on strong intuition and leaving her massage business Sierra Synergy in 2016 and everything she had created, Lindsay swiftly found Mudra Massage and started working as a full time LMT for the first time. Within months she was certified in the Ashiatsu modality, which is symbiotic with her prior Thai massage training.
Lindsay brings a fusion of expertise to the table including her in-depth training through Urban Priestess in 2016, her certification through the Health Coach Institute in 2018, Transformational Coaching Method (TCM) in 2019, began studying Clairvoyance at the Portland Psychic School in 2021 through out the Art of the Seer program and is now a professional reader. Currently Lindsay is taking the Art of the Dreamer training through the Art of the Seer Academy (former Portland Psychic School) and learning how to give Astral Healings. Through all of this, Lindsay has been studying Evolutionary Astrology and gives professional readings and coaching through her business, The Luminary Coach.
She brings her ability and passion for helping her clients at Mudra Massage with her extensive background understanding of the body and energy flow. Lindsay looks forward to meeting you in a session!
