Growing up in Lake Tahoe led Aimee to cultivate a love for the outdoors and an equal appreciation for healthy conscious living.
She studied health sciences at the University of Nevada, Reno, which became the bedrock for her future career in bodywork. As a student / athlete, Aimee graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science, Health Ecology. While studying at UNR, Aimee played soccer for the UNR women’s team. Soon after, she coached for various competitive youth soccer travel teams in the Reno/Tahoe area. As a coach, she utilized her knowledge in health science to develop preventative injury as well as dietary and strength programs for the athletes.
After graduation Aimee continued to tailor her knowledge and skills at Tahoe Forest Therapy Services, in Truckee CA, as a therapeutic exercise specialist and physical therapy aide. This experience led her to begin focusing entirely on bodywork and landed her at Davis Massage Institute in Sacramento, CA. There she spent a great deal of time focusing on Neuromuscular Therapy (NMT) along with her foundation massage education.
Aimee has been expanding her skills and knowledge of bodywork for over twelve years now. Her practiced modalities include myofascial cupping, muscle testing, Thai massage, and Neuromuscular Therapy. A potential client can expect a brief body assessment before a massage in order to help guide us to the source(s) of misalignment, tension and pain. Aimee was acknowledged as a Top Touch Therapist in the Portland Monthly 2020 Top Doctors addition.
In her spare time, Aimee can be found snowboarding, paddling, mountain biking, doing yoga, woodworking, gardening and getting in some puppy time with her fur baby.
